ACCORDING to the list, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav will contest from Karhal, Nahid Hasan from Kairana, Abdullah Azam Khan from Suar, Azam Khan from Rampur and Shivpal Singh Yadav from Jaswantnagar.

Assembly Election 2022. As per the list, the former Chief Minister and party chief Akhilesh Yadav will contest the polls from Karhal. Falling under the Mainpuri Lok Sabha constituency which isconsidered Mulayam Singh Yadav’s turf, Karhal has been won by SP since 1993 barring 2002 when BJP’s Sobaran Singh Yadav emerged victoriously. Apart from that, senior leader Azam Khan, his son Abdullah Azam Khan were also among the top faces in the list.

THE Congress party on Monday released a list of 30 star campaigners for the first phase of upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections 2022. The names include party chief Sonia Gandhi, former PM Dr Manmohan Singh, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ashok Gehlot, Bhupesh Baghel, and Sachin Pilot. This time, the Congress is going solo to challenge the ruling BJP, but the contest appears to be between the BJP and Samajwadi Party of Akhilesh Yadav. Just two days ago, Supriya Aron, who was named as Congress candidate, joined the Samajwadi Party saying the grand old party was not in a position to challenge the BJP. Supriya Aron, a former mayor of Bareilly, joined the Samajwadi Party along with her husband and former Congress MP Pravin Singh Aron. Talking to PTI, Supriya Aron said she switched over to the SP after receiving feedback from the people that the Congress was not in a position to stop the BJP in Uttar Pradesh. “People want a full-fledged SP government in Uttar Pradesh to check the saffron party’s divisive agenda, hence I thought I should contribute in it,” she said. Assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh will be held in seven phases between February 10 and March 7 and the results will be announced on March 10.

Dense to very dense fog is predicted in parts of Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Sikkim, Meghalaya and Tripura over the next two to three days, it said.

How does IMD define a cold day and severe cold cold day?

According to the IMD, a “cold day” is when the minimum temperature is less than 10 degrees Celsius and the maximum is at least 4.5 degrees Celsius below normal. A “severe” cold day is when the maximum temperature is at least 6.5 notches below normal. In the plains, the IMD declares a

The Kempegowda International airport has recorded its highest-ever cargo handling in 2021 despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the Bengaluru International Airport Limited (BIAL) said. The airport handled 4,06,688 metric tonnes (MT) of cargo in 2021, while it was 3,16,305 MT in 2020. International cargo saw a growth of 32.8% and domestic cargo grew at 21.3%, the airport added.
