Centre planning to review education system: CM Bommai

Bommai said that the Centre planned to discuss students’ selection process to medical courses and availability of seats

The Centre was seriously contemplating reviewing the present education system in the backdrop of Naveen Gyanagoudar’s death in shelling by the Russian forces in Ukraine, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said here on Saturday. Bommai met the victim’s parents at their house and offered a floral tribute to Naveen’s portrait. “Naveen’s death has exposed the hard realities that some meritorious students are not getting opportunities to pursue programmes of their choice in medical education and other streams. There is a need to review the present education system and the Centre is seriously contemplating to review the same,” he told. reporters. Bommai said that the Centre planned to discuss students’ selection process to medical courses and availability of seats. He had already discussed certain issues with the Medical Education Minister and chief secretary. The state government could students in paying fees. “External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has said that Naveen’s body has been kept safely. All efforts will be made to bring the body to India,” Bommai said and added that steps would be taken to bring all those from the state still stranded in Ukraine. रूस के खिलाफ युद्ध लड़ रहे यूक्रेन (Ukraine) ने अब प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी (PM Modi) से अपील की है कि वह रूस से जंग रोकने के लिए कहे. यूक्रेन के विदेश मंत्री दिमित्रो कुलेबास (Dmytro Kulebas) ने एक टीवी संबोधन के जरिए कहा कि भारत के साथ विशेष संबंधों को साझा करने वाले सभी देश प्रधानमंत्री मोदी (PM Modi) से अपील कर सकते हैं कि वह राष्ट्रपति पुतिन (President Putin) से संपर्क करना जारी रखें और उनको समझाएं कि यह युद्ध किसी के हित में नहीं है. रूस के लोगों को भी इसमें कोई दिलचस्पी नहीं है.दिमित्रो कुलेबास ने दावा किया कि रूस उन देशों के प्रति सहानुभूति दिखाने का नाटक कर रहा है जिनके नागरिक और छात्र यूक्रेन में फंसे हुए हैं. उन्होंने कहा कि अगर रूस विदेशी छात्रों के मसले में सहयोग करता है तो सभी को सुरक्षित निकाला जाएगा. उन्होंने कहा, “मैं भारत, चीन और नाइजीरिया की सरकारों से अपील करता हूं कि रूस से फायरिंग को रोकने और नागरिकों को जाने की अनुमति देने की अपील करें. उन्होंने कहा कि भारत यूक्रेन के कृषि उत्पादों के सबसे बड़े उपभोक्ताओं में से एक है. अगर यह युद्ध जारी रहा तो हमारे लिए नई फसल बोना मुश्किल होगा. कुलेबास के अनुसार वैश्विक और भारतीय खाद्य सुरक्षा के मामले में भी इस युद्ध को रोकना सबके हित में है. यूक्रेन के विदेश मंत्री ने कहा कि भारत में रूसी दूतावास पर भारतीय लोग दबाव बनाकर रूस से युद्ध रोकने की मांग कर सकते हैं. यूक्रेन केवल इसलिए लड़ रहा है क्योंकि हम पर हमला किया गया था और हमें अपनी जमीन की रक्षा करनी है. उन्होंने कहा कि पुतिन हमारे अस्तित्व के अधिकार को नहीं पहचानते हैं.

After weeks of speculation, Mayank Joshi, son of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Allahabad Rita Bahuguna Joshi, joined the Samajwadi Party (SP) on Saturday, two days before the last phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly Polls 2022. Mayank Joshi, who is also the grandson of former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna, joined the Samajwadi Party at an election meeting of party president Akhilesh Yadav in Azamgarh, hours before the campaign ended for the seventh and final round of polling slated for Monday. After joining Samajwadi Party, the former BJP leader said Uttar Pradesh’s future will be safe in former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav’s hands. “I have joined Samajwadi Party today. Akhilesh Yadav talks about development, women’s safety and youth. As a youth, I thought to stand with such a person who talks progressively. I think Uttar Pradesh’s future will be safe in his hands,” Joshi told news agency ANI. According to reports in a section of media, Rita Bahuguna was trying for a BJP ticket for her son from the Cantt assembly constituency of Lucknow, but the party fielded Law Minister Brajesh Pathak. Following this, Mayank met SP chief Akhilesh Yadav on February 22. “Grandson of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Late Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Ji, youth leader Shri Mayank Joshi took membership of Samajwadi Party in Azamgarh in the presence of national president Akhilesh Yadav. दिवंगत बॉलिवूड अभिनेता सुशांत सिंह राजपूतची (Bollywood Actor Sushant Singh Rajput) माजी व्यवस्थापक दिशा सलियनच्या मृत्यू प्रकरणी (Disha Salian Death case) भाजपचे नेते नारायण राणे (Narayan Rane) आणि त्यांचा मुलगा भाजप आमदार नितेश राणे (BJP MLA Nitesh Rane) यांच्याविरोधात गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात होता. याप्रकरणी शनिवारी रात्री उशिरापर्यंत मालवणी पोलिस ठाण्यात दोघांची चौकशी करण्यात आली. तब्बल 9 तास पोलिसांनी नारायण राणे यांची चौकशी केली. या चौकशीदरम्यान नारायण राणे यांनी अनेक खळबळजनक दावे केले आहेत. त्यांनी याप्रकरणात थेट मुख्यमंत्र्यांचे (CM Uddhav Thackeray) नाव घेत त्यांच्यावर आरोप केले आहेत.दिशा सालियनबाबत बदनामीकारक वक्तव्य केल्याने नारायण राणे आणि नितेश राणेंविरोधात मालवणी पोलिस ठाण्यात (Malvani Police Station) गुन्हा दाखल करण्यात आला होता. याप्रकरणी मालवणी पोलिसांनी नारायण राणे आणि नितेश राणे यांना चौकशीसाठी बोलावले होते. शनिवारी नारायण राणे यांनी मालवणी पोलिस ठाण्यात हजेरी लावली. याठिकाणी पोलिसांनी त्यांची रात्री उशिरापर्यंत चौकशी केली. यावेळी नारायण राणेंनी थेट मुख्यमंत्री उद्धव ठाकरेंचे नाव घेतले. त्यांनी पोलिसांना सांगितले की, ‘दिशा सालियानची 8 जून आणि सुशांतची 13 जूनला हत्या झाल्यानंतर मुख्यमंत्र्यांनी मला दोन वेळा फोन केला होता. तुम्ही सुशांत आणि दिशाच्या केसबद्दल बोलू नका. एका मंत्र्याची गाडी होती असं बोलू नका.’ तसंच, ‘मी हे जबाबात सांगूनही हे वाक्य माझ्या जबाबातून वगळलेले आहे. मी वारंवार सांगतोय की, ते वाक्य टाका परंतु ते वगळलेले आहे. याचाच अर्थ ही आजची केस राजकीय हेतूने प्रेरित आहे. मुद्दाम आमच्यावर दबाव टाकण्याच प्रयत्न केला जात आहे.’, असा दावा नारायण राणेंनी यावेळी केला.

मुंबई : राज्यात पुन्हा एकदा पाऊस सक्रीय होणार आहे. हवामान विभागाने राज्यात पुढचे चार ते पाच दिवस मुसळधार पावसाचा अंदाज व्यक्त केला आहे. बंगालच्या उपसागरात तयार होणारे कमी दाबाचे क्षेत्र आणि त्याचा पश्चिम आणि मध्य भारतातून प्रवासाच्या शक्यतेमुळे राज्यात चार ते पाच दिवसात काही ठिकाणी मुसळधार पाऊस होण्याची शक्यता आहे.राज्यात 29 ऑगस्टपासून राज्यात पावसाचा जोर वाढणार आहे. कोकण आणि उत्तर महाराष्ट्रातील काही भागात हवामान विभागाने ऑरेंज अलर्ट दिला आहे. विदर्भ आणि मराठवाड्यातही पावासाचा अंदाज हवामान खात्याकडून वर्तवण्यात आला आहे. गेल्या काही दिवसांपासून राज्यात पावसाने विश्रांती घेतली होती. यामुळे काही भागात पावसाअभावी दुबार, तर काही ठिकाणी तिबार पेरणीचं संकट निर्माण झालं होतं. यामुळे बळीराजा चिंतेत होता. मात्र आता राज्यातील शेतकऱ्याना दिलासा मिळण्याची शक्यता आहे.

Error found in Maha HSC Class 12 exam paper; students to get 1 mark each

An erroneous question was found printed in the English language paper of Class 12 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination. PM Modi To Inaugurate Pune Metro Today

The foundation stone of the Pune metro project, which is being built at the cost of more than Rs 11,400 crore, was laid by Prime Minister Modi on December 24, 2016.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Pune Metro Rail project here at around 11.30 am on Sunday. “This project is an endeavour to provide the world-class infrastructure for urban mobility in Pune,” said Prime Minister’s Office in an official statement, adding that a 12-km stretch of the total 32.2 km Pune metro rail project will be inaugurated today. The foundation stone of the metro project, which is being built at the cost of more than Rs 11,400 crore, was laid by Prime Minister Modi on December 24, 2016. The prime minister will also inaugurate and inspect the exhibition at the Garware metro station and will undertake a metro ride from there to the Anandnagar metro station, the PMO said. Inviting Pune residents to take their first ride in the metro, the official account of Pune Metro rail tweeted: “Most awaited moment is here! Announcing the commercial operations of Pune Metro.”

PM Modi to also launch infra projects in Pune today

Prime Minister Modi will also lay the foundation stone of various development projects in the city, an official release said on Saturday. As per the schedule, Prime Minister will unveil the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on the premises of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) at 11 am. The statue is made up of 1,850 kg gunmetal and is about 9.5 feet tall. Around noon, the prime minister will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate multiple developmental projects.  He will also lay the foundation stone of rejuvenation and pollution abatement of the Mula-Mutha river projects. A rejuvenation will be done in a 9-km stretch of the river at a project cost of more than Rs 1,080 crore. The project will involve works such as river edge protection, interceptor sewage network, public amenities, boating activity etc.
