Azamgarh Vidhan Sabha seat is among the 403 Assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh which is set to go to the polls from February 10. Situated in the Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh, the key constituency is perceived as a stronghold of the Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party. It has been represented by Durga Prasad Yadav of the Samajwadi Party since 1996. As an Independent candidate, Yadav had won the seat in past as well in 1985.In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections, he (Durga Prasad 
Yadav) retained the seat by defeating BJP’s Akhilesh with a margin of 26262 votes. In the 2012 UP Assembly elections as well, the Samajwadi Party had won this constituency by a formidable margin of 31,441 votes. Durga Prasad Yadav had then got 93,629 votes. In the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, Samajwadi Party supremo Akhilesh Yadav had won the seat against BJP leader and Bhojpur actor Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirahua’ with the margin of 259874 votes. In the 2014 general elections, SP patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav had registered victory from the seat, securing 35.43% votes.
Decoding Azamgarh
According to data from the Election Commission of India, Azamgarh has a total of 3,41,273 registered voters. It comprises 1,89,034 male and 1,52,220 female registered voters. The Azamgarh district, demographically, comprises 84% Hindus and 16% Muslims. Of the 84% Hindus, 21% are estimated to be non-Yadavs. Notably, Yadavs and Muslim voters with a combined 37% strength are likely to emerge as kingmakers. Speculations were rife that SP chief Akhilesh Yadav could contest from Gopalpur—one of the five Assembly segments of Azamgarh Lok Sabha constituency. To a question about him contesting the Assembly elections, Akhilesh had said, “I will take the permission of the people in Azamgarh and then contest the elections from there.” Sources had also claimed that Akhilesh was preparing to contest from Gopalpur in Azamgarh, which is also his parliamentary constituency. But now the party has decided to field the former UP CM from Karhal seat in Mainpuri district, considered to be another SP turf.

With just 10 days remaining ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections to begin, former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav is all set to file his nomination from the Karhal assembly seat of Mainpuri on Monday. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has not declared its candidate against Akhilesh yet, but a number of reports have speculated that the BJP is likely to field Mulayam Singh Yadav’s daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav from the Karhal seat who recently
joined the party. Speaking to TOI, a family member of Aparna Yadav said that it was “unlikely” that she would contest polls against her brother-in-law. He said, “She would do whatever the party decides but pitting her against Akhilesh would not be in the minds of the BJP leadership because of the sensitivity of their family relationship.” SP National President Akhilesh Yadav will contest the assembly elections for the first time from the Karhal assembly seat. He will be contesting against Congress’ Gyanvati Yadav and BSP’s Kuldeep Narayan from the seat. Polling in Uttar Pradesh will be held in seven phases on February 10, 14, 20, 23, 27, and March 3 and 7. Voting in Mainpuri will be held in the third phase of the assembly polls, although, the nomination process has started here. Samajwadi Party has had a stronghold in Karhal since the year 1993 till today, only once in the year 2002, the SP had to face defeat from this seat. The counting of votes will take place on March 10.
H-1B Visa Registrations for Fiscal 2023 to Begin From March 1: US
H-1B Visa Registrations: The USCIS will assign a confirmation number to each registration submitted which will be used solely to track registrations. This number, however, cannot be used to track the case status online.
Washington: The registrations for the much-coveted H1-B visas for FY2023 will begin from March 1 and remain open till March 18, 2022, announced the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Issuing a statement about the initial registration period on Sunday, the USCIS said that during the above-mentioned period “prospective petitioners and representatives will be able to complete and submit their registrations using our online H-1B registration system”. The USCIS will assign a confirmation number to each registration submitted which will be used solely to track registrations. This number, however, cannot be used to track the case status online, the statement said. It further said that prospective H-1B cap-subject petitioners or their representatives are required to use a myUSCIS online account to register each
beneficiary electronically for the selection process and pay the required $10 registration fee. “Prospective petitioners submitting their own registrations will use a ‘registrant’ account. Registrants will be able to create new accounts beginning at noon on February 21.” US employers and agents are collectively known as “registrants”. The USCIS said that once enough registrations are received by the March 18 deadline, there will be a random selection after which selection notifications will be via users’ myUSCIS online accounts. The H1-B visa allows companies and other employers in the US to temporarily employ foreign workers in occupations that require the theoretical and practical application of a body of highly specialised knowledge and a bachelor’s degree or higher in the specific specialty, or its equivalent, according to the USCIS.Every year the US gives 65,000 H1-B visas open to all and 20,000 to those with advanced US degrees. Indians are the biggest beneficiaries of the H1-B visas getting about 75 per cent of them, according to the US government.
धर्म संसद में प्रस्ताव हुआ पारित, संतों ने किया आह्वान- आज से सभी लिखें ‘हिंदू राष्ट्र भारत’

जैसी कठोर सजा का प्रावधान करने की मांग की गई. साथ ही जेल में बंद स्वामी नरसिम्हानंद गिरि और हाल ही में इस्लाम त्यागकर हिंदू धर्म स्वीकार चुके वसीम रिजवी उर्फ जितेंद्र त्यागी को रिहा करने की मांग की गई है. संतों का कहना है कि दोनों धर्मगुरुओं को बिना किसी शर्त के रिहा किया जाए. इस दौरान मुख्य अतिथि काशी सुमेरू पीठ के स्वामी नरेंद्रानंद सरस्वती ने देश के हिंदुओं से आह्वान किया कि सरकार मानें या न मानें लेकिन आज और अभी से लोग हिंदू राष्ट्र भारत लिखना शुरू करें. सरकार अंत में जनता और संतों के दबाव में झुकेगी. क्योंकि संत सम्मेलन का मकगस भारत को हिंदू राष्ट्र बनाना और इस्लामिक जिहाद को दूर करना है.

लता मंगेशकरांनी कोरोनावर केली मात, व्हेंटिलेटर सपोर्टही काढण्यात आला
लतादीदी यांच्या प्रकृतीत सुधारणा झाल्यामुळे त्यांच्या चाहत्यांना मोठा दिलासा मिळाला आहे.
गानसम्राज्ञी आणि ज्येष्ठ गायिका लता मंगेशकर (Singer Lata Mangeshkar) यांच्यावर प्रकतीबाबत मोठी बातमी समोर आली आहे. लता मंगेशकर यांनी कोरोनावर (Corona Virus) मात केली असून त्यांच्या प्रकृतीत सुधारणा होत आहे. तसंच त्यांचे व्हेंटिलेटर सपोर्टही (Ventilator support) काढण्यात आला आहे. राज्याचे आरोग्यमंत्री राजेश टोपे (Heath Minister Rajesh Tope) यांनी यासंदर्भात माहिती दिली आहे. लतादीदी यांच्या प्रकृतीत सुधारणा झाल्यामुळे त्यांच्या चाहत्यांना मोठा दिलासा मिळाला आहे. आरोग्यमंत्री राजेश टोपे यांनी सांगितले की, ‘लतादीदींच्या
प्रकृतीत खूप चांगली सुधारणा दिसून येत आहे. त्या व्हेंटिलेटरवर होत्या. मात्र आता त्यांचे व्हेंटिलेटर काढून टाकण्यात आले आहे. न्यूमोनिया (Pneumonia) आणि कोरोनातून लतादीदी आता बऱ्या झाल्या आहेत. पण त्यांच्या ब्रेनमध्ये इन्फेक्शन (Infections in the brain) आहे. यामध्ये सुधारणा करण्यासाठी डॉक्टरांचे प्रयत्न सुरु आहेत. सध्या लतादीदी डोळे उघडत आहेत आणि बोलत सुद्धा आहेत. त्या डॉक्टरांच्या उपचाराला चांगला प्रतिसाद सुद्धा देत आहेत. त्यांना काही प्रमाणात अशक्तपणा आहे.’ लता मंगेशकर यांच्यावर गेल्या काही दिवसांपासून मुंबईच्या ब्रीच कँडी रुग्णालयात उपचार सुरु आहेत. कोरोनाची (Corona Virus) लागण झाल्यामुळे 8 जानेवारी रोजी त्यांना रुग्णालयात (bridge candy hospital Mumbai) उपचारासाठी दाखल करण्यात आले आहे. त्यांच्यावर आयसीयूमध्ये (ICU) उपचार सुरु आहेत. त्यांची प्रकृती लवकरात लवकर बरी व्हावी यासाठी सर्वस्तरावरुन प्रार्थना केली जात आहेत. अशामध्ये आता लतादीदी यांच्या प्रकृतीत सुधारणा झाल्याची माहिती समोर येताच त्यांच्या चाहत्यांना खूप आनंद झाला आहे. दरम्यान, लता मंगेशकर यांच्यावर ब्रीच कँडी रुग्णालयात डॉक्टर प्रतित समदानी (Dr Pratit Samdani) उपचार करत आहेत. त्यांची टीम सतत लतादीदी यांच्यावर लक्ष ठेवून आहेत.

त्तर प्रदेश की भाजपा सरकार में मंत्री रहे सुहेलदेव भारतीय समाज पार्टी (SBSP) के अध्यक्ष ओमप्रकाश राजभर (Om Prakash Rajbhar) 2022 का विधानसभा चुनाव समाजवादी पार्टी (SP) के साथ गठबंधन करके लड़ रहे है. उनका कहना है कि हमने भले ही सपा से गठबंधन किया हो, लेकिन हमारी पार्टी उनके सिंबल पर चुनाव नहीं लड़ेगी. इसके अलावा उनका कहना है कि भाजपा ने पिछड़े का आरक्षण लूटा है.
योगी सरकार पर लगाए आरक्षण लूटने के आरोप
ओमप्रकाश राजभर ने आईएएनएस से कहा कि पिछड़ों का आरक्षण को योगी सरकार ने लूटा है. चाहे छात्रवृत्ति का मामला हो, या फिर 69 हजार शिक्षक भर्ती का मामला, इसमें सरकार ने पिछड़ो का 27 प्रतिशत और दलितों का साढ़े 22 प्रतिशत आरक्षण योगी सरकार ने लूटा. इस मामले में अभ्यर्थियों को लाठी ही मिली है. वे उप मुख्यमंत्री के यहां गए, भाजपा प्रदेश अध्यक्ष के यहां गए हर जगह उन्हें परेशान होना पड़ा, लाठी खानी पड़ी. इसके बाद अभ्यर्थी पिछड़ा वर्ग आयोग गए. वहां पर जांच हुई तो पता चला कि इस भर्ती में पिछड़े और दलितों के आरक्षण को लागू नहीं किया गया. तब योगी जी ने छह हजार पद देने की बात कही. इससे सिद्ध होता है कि पिछड़ों का हक लूटा जा रहा है.
सपा के सिंबल कोई उम्मीदवार नहीं लड़ेगा चुनाव
SBSP कितनी सीटों पर चुनाव लड़ेगा? इस सवाल पर उन्होंने कहा कि चरणबद्ध तरीके से सूची तय करेंगे. अभी संडीला और मिश्रिख से प्रत्याशी घोषित किए गए हैं. हमारा उद्देश्य 14 विधायक बनवाकर अपनी पार्टी को मान्यता प्राप्त दल बनवाना है. सपा के सिंबल पर कोई हमारा प्रत्याशी चुनाव नहीं लड़ेगा. ऐसा ना करता हूं ना कभी करुंगा. भाजपा द्वारा सपा के उम्मीदवारों को अपराधी बताने पर राजभर ने कहा कि ‘मुख्यमंत्री और उप मुख्यमंत्री खुद अपराधिक प्रवृत्ति के हैं. सरकार बनने पर अपने मुकदमे वापस लिए हैं. 90 प्रतिशत अपराधी भाजपा में हैं. संगीत सोम क्या साधू हैं. भाजपा के नेताओं को झूठ बोलने की ट्रेनिंग नागपुर में दी जाती है. भाजपा के मंहगाई की बात करने पर राष्ट्रद्रोही बताते हैं. एक समान शिक्षा पर बांग्लादेशी भी बताते हैं. देश व प्रदेश की मूलभूत समस्याओं से ये ध्यान भटकाते हैं. नफरत की राजनीति करते हैं. गुमराह करके वोट लेते हैं. ब्रजेश सिंह जब एमएलसी बन सकते हैं तो खुशी दुबे की मां चुनाव क्यों नहीं लड़ सकती हैं.

Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections 2022: स्थानीय निवासी जितेंद्र दीक्षित ने कहा, ‘इस चुनाव के लिए ‘बंदर भगाओ, वोट पाओ’ हमारा नारा है. यहां बंदर एक बड़ी समस्या है. पिछले एक सप्ताह में एक दर्जन से ज्यादा लोगों और बच्चों को बंदरों ने काटा है.’
उत्तर प्रदेश की राजधानी लखनऊ के बाहरी इलाके मलिहाबाद के चैना गांव के मतदाताओं ने चुनाव के लिए एक अनूठी मांग रखी है. लोगों ने कहा कि जब तक गांव से बंदरों को बाहर नहीं निकाला जाएगा, वे चुनाव का बहिष्कार करेंगे. चाएना गांव में करीब 650 की आबादी में करीब 300 मतदाता हैं. स्थानीय निवासी जितेंद्र दीक्षित ने कहा, ‘इस चुनाव के लिए ‘बंदर भगाओ, वोट पाओ’ हमारा नारा है. यहां बंदर एक बड़ी समस्या है. पिछले एक सप्ताह में एक दर्जन से ज्यादा लोगों और बच्चों को बंदरों ने काटा है.’
बंदरों की वजह से बच्चों को घर के अंदर रखने को मजबूर हुए लोग
उन्होंने आगे कहा कि ‘बंदरों ने रसोई पर आक्रमण किया और खाना खराब कर दिया. हम बच्चों को घर के अंदर रखने के लिए मजबूर हैं. लोग बंदरों से डर के रह रहे हैं. प्रशासन से हमारी अपील पर भी कोई ध्यान नहीं दिया है.’ राज्य चुनाव कार्यालय ने अब समस्या का संज्ञान लिया है और जिला प्रशासन को समस्या के समाधान के लिए तत्काल कदम उठाने का निर्देश दिया है. जिले के एक अधिकारी ने कहा कि वे एक लंगूर को उसके मालिक के साथ गांव भेजेंगे. लंगूर के होने से बंदर भाग जाएंगे. इस बीच, ग्रामीण चाहते हैं कि बंदरों को पकड़कर किसी अन्य वन क्षेत्र में छोड़ दिया जाए. दीक्षित कहते हैं, ‘लंगूर एक अस्थायी उपाय हो सकता है लेकिन हम चाहते हैं कि बंदर पकड़े जाएं, ना कि केवल भगाए जाएं, क्योंकि वे जल्द से जल्द वापस लौट आएंगे.’
