Husband stabbed his wife to death in the middle of the street near For Lake on Friday afternoon. The
shocking incident happened near Fort Lake on the road where the husband after stabbing his wife stood with the weapon. The deceased has been identified as Hina Kauser Nadaf, 24, of Ujwal Nagar, Belagavi. The accused husband Manzorilahi Nadaf has been arrested by the police. There was a court case going on for divorce and according to police, Hina was married to Manzoor of Bailhongal. After the couple appeared before the court on Friday, the husband chased Hina Kauser and stabbed her to death with a sharp weapon near Killa Lake. – AAB
Petrol, diesel prices hiked again: Common man feels the rate pinch

The prices of petrol and diesel continued to burn a hole in common man’s pocket as the rates were hiked for the third time in four days as oil firms recoup losses from holding rates during the period prior to the recently-concluded Assembly elections. In Delhi, petrol now costs Rs 97.81 per litre, while diesel is Rs 89.07 per litre after a hike of 80 paise. In Mumbai, the petrol and diesel now cost Rs 112.51 (increased by 84 paise) and Rs 96.70 (up by 85 paise) per litre respectively. In Chennai, the price of petrol is Rs 103.67
and diesel is Rs 93.71 (increased by 76 paise) and in Kolkata, the price of petrol is Rs 106.34 (increased by 84 paise) and diesel is 91.42 (increased by 80 paise). The increases are the steepest single-day rise since the daily price revision was started in June 2017. After a 137-day hiatus, the fuel rates have been hiked by a total of Rs 2.40 per litre. Oil companies are now recouping the losses. Moody’s Investors Services says fuel retailers IOC, BPCL and HPCL together lost around $2.25 billion (Rs 19,000 crore) in revenue for keeping petrol and diesel prices on hold during elections in five states. Oil companies “will need to raise diesel prices by Rs 13.1-24.9 per litre and Rs 10.6-22.3 a litre on gasoline (petrol) at an underlying crude price of $100-120 per barrel,” according to Kotak Institutional Equities. CRISIL Research said a Rs 9-12 per litre increase in retail price will be required for a full pass-through of an average USD 100 per barrel crude oil and Rs 15-20 a litre hike if the average crude oil price rises to $110-120.
महागाईमुळे (Inflation) सर्वसामान्य जनता आधीच त्रस्त झाली आहे. अशामध्ये दूधाचे (Milk Price) आणि गॅस सिलेंडरचे दर (Gas Cylinder Price) वाढले आहे. गेल्या काही महिन्यांपासून स्थिर असलेल्या पेट्रोल-डिझेल दरवाढीचे (Petrol-Diesel Price Hike) सत्र पुन्हा सुरु झाले आहे. त्यामुळे सर्वसामान्य जनतेच्या खिशाला आणखी फटका बसणार आहे. एका दिवसाच्या विश्रांतीनंतर पेट्रोल-डिझेलच्या दरात आज पुन्हा वाढ झाली आहे. आज पेट्रोल-डिझेलच्या दरामध्ये 83 पैशांनी वाढ करण्यात आली आहे. पेट्रोलियम कंपन्यांनी (Petroleum companies) आज सकाळी 6 वाजता पेट्रोल-डिझेलचे नवीन दर लागू केले आहेत. गेल्या चार दिवसांत पेट्रोल आणि डिझेलच्या दरामध्ये 2.40 रुपयांनी वाढ झाली आहे. दरवाढीनंतर आता राजधानी दिल्लीमध्ये पेट्रोल 97.81 रुपये प्रति लिटर तर डिझेल 89.07 रुपये प्रति लिटरने विकले जात आहे. तर मुंबईमध्ये पेट्रोल 112.51 रुपये प्रति लिटरने आणि डिझेल 96.70 रुपये प्रति लिटरने विकले जात आहे. तज्ज्ञांनी दिलेल्या माहितीनुसार, पेट्रोल आणि डिझेलच्या दरात सलग अनेक दिवस वाढ होऊ शकते. जागतिक बाजारपेठांत कच्च्या तेलाच्या दरात होणाऱ्या चढ-उतारामुळे भारतातील पेट्रोल-डिझेलची दरवाढ होत असल्याचे केंद्रीय पेट्रोलियम मंत्री हरदीप सिंह पुरी यांनी सांगितले होते. दरम्यान, पेट्रोल-डिझेलचे दर गेल्या 137 दिवसांपासून स्थिर होते. पण 22 आणि 23 मार्चला पेट्रोल आणि डिझेलच्या दरामध्ये वाढ झाली. त्यानंतर 24 तारखेच्या विश्रांतनंतर 25 मार्चला पुन्हा पेट्रोल-डिझेलच्या दरामध्ये वाढ झाली आहे. 22 आणि 23 मार्चला पेट्रोल आणि डिझेलच्या दरामध्ये 80-80 पैशांनी वाढ करण्यात आली होती. तर आज 83 पैशांनी पेट्रोल आणि डिझेलच्या दरामध्ये वाढ झाली आहे.

While addressing at the Delhi Assembly, Kejriwal said: “They (BJP) are asking to make The Kashmir Files tax-free. BJP should ask Vivek Agnihotri to upload The Kashmir Files on YouTube. If they want it so badly then put it on YouTube and it will be free for all. Everyone can watch it then.” This comes a 
day after BJP MLAs during the Budget Session in Delhi Assembly on Wednesday demanded to make ‘The Kashmir Files’ tax-free in the state. The Kashmir Files movie by Vivek Agnihotri starring Anupam Kher has been made tax-free in several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttarakhan, Tripura and Goa. Meanwhile, the Assam government announced special “half-day leave” to watch the film ‘The Kashmir Files’. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the state government employees will have to inform their superior officers to avail the half-day leave to watch ‘The Kashmir Files’ and submit the tickets of the movie the next day. Helmed by Anupam Kher, the film highlights the atrocities against Kashmiri Pandits in the 1990s when they were killed, persecuted and forced to leave their homes overnight. The film which outlines the brutalities endured by the Kashmiri Pandits has received a massive push from the Centre and states. The BJP had demanded that The Kashmir Files should be exempted from entertainment tax, while BSP pitched for its ban, arguing that such films create feelings of hatred among various communities.

similar views on Twitter while taking a dig at the film’s director Vivek Agnihotri. Taking to Twitter, Kunal Kamra shared a meme video where Vivek Agnihotri could be seen responding to a question about donating the earnings of the movie. When the director was asked at a press conference whether the profits of the film will be donated to Kashmiri Pandits, he replied saying, “Kamai hogi toh baat karenge (Let it earn profit first, we will talk then).” To this, the reporter who asked him the question said, “Kamai toh bohot saari ho rahi thi. (But the film is making a lot of money)” However, Vivek Agnihotri countered the journalist saying, “Abhi aapko aisa lag raha hai. Vo galat-faimi hai aapki. (That’s what you think right now. It’s your misunderstanding.)” After showing this short clip, Vivek Agnihotri’s face was put in place of Raj Kapoor’s from the song ‘Mana Apni Jeb Se Fakir Hai’ from the 1959 film Anari. Then the video shows a snap of the film’s 200 crore box office collection and ends with a ‘Cheating karta hai tu’ – pointed at Vivek Agnihotri that he was lying about the film not making much profits. Kunal Kamra tweeted the video with a dig a Vivek Agnihotri saying, “Desh ke liye jaan dene ke liye ready hai par desh ke logo ko paise dene ke liye nahi…” The video has received 322K views.
Tone down Tipu content, suggests Karnataka textbook review panel
The school textbook review committee set up by the Karnataka government has recommended toning down the “glorified content” on Tipu Sultan besides inclusion of chapters on the Ahom dynasty that ruled northeastern regions for 600 years and the Karkota dynasty of Kashmir valley. The committee headed by writer Rohith Chakrathirtha submitted the recommendations a few weeks ago and a formal order was also issued to incorporate the changes in the textbooks. According to sources in the Primary and Secondary Education Department, the panel suggested that the chapter on Tipu Sultan be retained but without any glorification of the 18th-century Mysore ruler. “We have not removed the chapter on 
but it would definitely be not a glorified one,” said a source who was privy to the recommendations.
The source further said that as a ruler, it is necessary to study Tipu. “We have cleared the imbalance. There was too much glorification in the books drafted by the Prof Baraguru Ramachandrappa-headed panel under the previous Congress government. That has been removed and we have maintained a neutral tone.” The government was under pressure from various sections, including BJP MLA Appachu Ranjan, to drop the chapter from textbooks. They argued that Tipu was a ‘fanatic’ who killed and converted Hindus in Kodagu to Islam, besides looting temples. Education Minister B C Nagesh, who assumed charge of the department, constituted a committee to revise textbooks and appointed Chakrathirtha as chairperson on Sept 8, 2021. Following the recommendations, the department has ordered the Textbook Society to include the changes in the textbooks, which will be distributed in the forthcoming academic year.

पंजाब की कमान संभाल रहे आम आदमी पार्टी के सीएम भगवंत मान ने बेरोजगारी को दूर करने की बड़ी और नई तरकीब निकाली है. वैसे इस तरकीब को जानकर पंजाब के विधायकों और पूर्व विधायकों को थोड़ा दुख जरूर हो सकता है. भगवंत मान ने आज बड़ा फैसला लेते हुए निर्देश दिया है कि, पंजाब में विधायकों के पेंशन फॉर्मूला में बदलाव किया जाएगा. पंजाब में अब विधायकों और पूर्व विधायकों को सिर्फ एक बार की पेंशन मिलेगी, चाहे वो कितनी बार भी विधायक बने हों. बता दें कि अब तक जितनी बार किसी भी दल के नेता चुनाव जीतकर विधायक बनते थे उतनी बार के पेंशन की राशि उनके हिस्से में जुड़ती जाती थी. इस नियम के तहत पंजाब में लाल सिंह, राजिंदर कौर, सरवन सिंह फिलोर को हर महीने मिलते थे 3 लाख 25 हजार…रवि इंदर सिंह, बलविंदर सिंह को हर महीने मिलते थे 2 लाख 75 हजार की पेंशन राशि मिलती थी. इसके अलावे 10 बार के विधायक की पेंशन 6 लाख 62 हजार प्रति माह मिलती थी. सीएम के निर्देश के बाद नियम लागू होने से अब सभी को मिलेगी सिर्फ 75 हजार रुपए की पेंशन. इसके साथ ही विधायकों के परिवारों को दिए जाने वाले भत्तों में भी होगी कटौती. इससे राज्य में पांच सालों में 80 करोड़ से ज्यादा रुपयों की बचत होगी, जो पैसे लोगों के भलाई के लिए खर्च होंगे.
