वकालत करने वाले समूहों उत्तर प्रदेश इलेक्शन वॉच और एसोसिएशन फॉर डेमोक्रेटिक रिफॉर्म्स (ADR) की रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि 102 उम्मीदवार पोस्ट ग्रैजुएट हैं जबकि पीएचडी करने वाले छह प्रत्याशी भी चुनावी मैदान में हैं. पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश (West UP) के नौ जिलों अमरोहा, बरेली, बिजनौर, बदायूं, मुरादाबाद, रामपुर, सहारनपुर, संभल और शाहजहांपुर की 55 विधानसभा सीटों पर 14 फरवरी को मतदान होना है. यह रिपोर्ट दूसरे चरण का चुनाव लड़ने वाले 586 उम्मीदवारों में से 584 उम्मीदवारों के स्व-शपथ पत्रों के विश्लेषण पर आधारित है. रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि दो उम्मीदवारों के हलफनामों का विश्लेषण नहीं किया जा सका क्योंकि वे या तो सही से स्कैन नहीं किए गए थे या अधूरे थे. विश्लेषण के अनुसार, 12 उम्मीदवार ‘निरक्षर’, 67 ‘साक्षर’, 12 उम्मीदवारों ने कक्षा पांच और 35 ने कक्षा आठ पास की है, जबकि 58 प्रत्याशियों ने कक्षा 10 और 88 उम्मीदवारों ने कक्षा 12 पास की है.

नकाब पहन कर बच्चियां कॉलेज भी जाएंगी, डॉक्टर भी बनेंगे, कलेक्टर भी बनेंगे, बिजनेसमैन, एसडीएम भी बनेंगे. ओवैसी ने कहा कि शायद उस दिन तक मैं जिंदा न रहूं लेकिन एक दिन आएगा जब एक बच्ची हिजाब पहनकर प्रधानमंत्री बनेगी. यह पहला मौका नहीं है कि जब ओवैसी ने इस विषय पर खुलकर बयान दिया हो, वह इससे पहले भी हिजाब का विरोध करने वाली बच्चियों की तारीफ कर चुके हैं. बताते चलें कि पिछले दिनों कर्नाटक के उडुपी में सरकारी महाविद्यालय में हिजाब पहनकर आई छात्रों को कक्षाओं में प्रवेश नहीं देने से विवाद शुरू हुआ था. बाद में यह विवाद और गंभीर हो गया और कुछ हिंदू छात्र भगवा गमछा लेकर आने लगे. इसके बाद से ही इस विषय को लेकर नेताओं के बीच टीका टिप्पणी का दौर जारी है.

Mangaluru, Feb 13 (PTI) The Udupi district administration has imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 of CrPC in areas around all high schools in the district from Monday till February 19. The move comes as part of a precautionary measure as the schools are reopening Monday after the holiday declared by the state government in view of the hijab-saffron shawl controversy. The order will be in effect from 6 AM on February 14 to 6 PM on February 19. The order has been clamped following a request by the district superintendent of police to deputy commissioner M Kurma Rao for imposing Section 144 within a 200-metre radius around all the high schools. As per the order, assembly of five or more members around the school perimeter is not allowed. All sorts of gatherings including protests and rallies are banned. Case against bogus doctor in Thane
Thane, Feb 13 (PTI) Police have registered a case against a 55-year-old man for allegedly treating patients by using the degree of a dead doctor here in Maharashtra, an official said on Sunday. The accused, Vinod Rai, had studied only till Class 10 and was treating patients at a hospital in Ulhasnagar town since the last two years on the registration of a doctor who died in 2019, Ulhasnagar police station’s senior inspector Madhukar Kad said. A medical officer of the Ulhasnagar civic body came across the fraud during an inspection and lodged a police complaint. The police registered a case against the accused on Friday under Indian Penal Code Sections 419 (cheating by impersonation) and 420 (cheating) and issued a notice to him, the official said, adding that no arrest has been made so far.

कांग्रेस महासचिव प्रियंका गांधी (Priyanka Gandhi) ने रविवार को बेरोजगारी के बढ़ते आंकड़ों पर चिंता जताते हुए प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी (PM Modi) को सवालों के कटघरे में खड़ा किया. एक समाचार पोर्टल के हवाले से बेरोजगारी (Unemployment) के आंकड़ों को पेश करते हुए प्रियंका गांधी ने कहा कि पिछले 6 सालों में बेरोजगारी से आत्महत्या करने वालों की संख्या 60 फीसदी (suicide cases) बढ़ गई है. 2018-20 के बीच में बेरोजगारी के चलते देश में हर दिन औसतन 12 लोगों ने आत्महत्या की. उन्होंने नरेंद्र मोदी को टैग करते हुए कहा कि 70 सालों की रट छोड़कर असल मुद्दों पर बात करिए. युवा पीड़ा में हैं, कब तक असल मुद्दों से भटकाएंगे? बीबीसी हिंदी में छपी 11 फरवरी की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार 2018 से 2020 के बीच आत्महत्या करने वालों की संख्या में उछाल देखने को मिला है. रिपोर्ट में JNU के स्कूल ऑफ़ कंप्यूटेशनल एंड इंटीग्रेटिव साइंस के प्रोफेसर अहमद की स्टडी का हवाला देते हुए बताया गया है कि 6 सालों में बेरोजगारी के कारण आत्महत्या के मामलों में 60 फीसदी की बढ़त दर्ज की गई है. अपनी रिपोर्ट में प्रोफेसर अहमद ने कहा है कि 2014 से 2017 तक कुछ खास बदलाव नहीं आया था लेकिन 2020 में बेरोजगारी के कारण आत्महत्या के मामले बढ़े. प्रोफेसर ने आशंका जताई है कि यदि स्थिति पर ध्यान नहीं दिया गया तो परेशानी और बड़ी हो सकती है.

Under the leadership of Aaditya Thackeray, we will fight Lok Sabha polls across the country and preparations are on for it.” Commenting on Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s controversial remarks on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and calling his “modern-day Jinnah”, Raut said, “Assam Chief Minister spent his whole life in Congress, then he did not get this interview with Rahul Gandhi. He had worked with Rajiv Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. No one should give such statements against their former leader because they have also contributed to making you a leader.” The Shiv Sena leader said that BJP Maharashtra president Chandrakant Patil is giving vague statements in frustration. “Chandrakant Patil is a very nice and innocent man, that is why I understand his pain. The BJP government is not being formed. The BJP faced disappointments in West Bengal. Now, there is an attempt to topple the governments in Tamil Nadu and Mumbai. This explains frustrations of Patil,” said Raut on Patil’s statement on forming government in the state after March 10.
Defending Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray for his remarks that those making allegations should be given medical treatment, Raut said, “Whatever Maharashtra Chief Minister has said about COVID is absolutely right, because bodies were not floating in rivers in Maharashtra. Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], February 13 (ANI): Voting for the second phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections for 55 seats, covering nine districts of the state, will begin on Monday at 7 am. Uttar Pradesh is going to the polls for its 55-member assembly seats in the second phase on Monday with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) and Congress seen as the main contenders. The voting will begin at 7 am and end at 6 pm. As per the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) imposed by the 
Election Commission, campaigning for the state Assembly came to an end at 6 PM on Saturday. As many as 586 candidates are in the fray for the 55-member Assembly seats in the second phase and two crore voters will decide the fate of 586 candidates. The seats are spread across nine districts of Saharanpur, Bijnor, Moradabad, Sambhal, Rampur, Amroha, Budaun, Bareilly and Shahjahanpur. In 2017, BJP had won 38 seats out of 55, while the SP had retained 15 and the Congress had won two seats. The BJP and Uttar Prdesh Finance Minister Suresh Khanna is in the fray from Shahjahanpur, while Jal Shakti state minister and BJP leader Baldev Singh Aulakh is contesting from the Bilaspur constituency. Other ministers contesting the elections are SP’s Dharam Singh Saini from Nakud, BJP’s Mahesh Chandra Gupta from Badaun, and BJP’s Gulab Devi from Chandausi. Supriya Aron, former mayor of Bareilly, will be contesting from the Bareilly Cantonment from the Samajwadi Party. Notably, the SP has once again fielded Azam Khan from Rampur, who is currently lodged in Sitapur jail since February 2020, over several cases registered against him. Khan’s Abdulla Khan has been fielded from Suar constituency. While Apna Dal (Sonelal) has fielded former Congress party member Haider Ali Khan from Suar. (ANI)
